During our recent memorial day meet and greet session that spread all over the township of Burlington in New Jersey, DFWC asked the following questions.
- Do you attend a local church? Yes or No
- If No, name 2 things you would look for in a church that you would attend.
Although, these are two seemingly harmless questions, the responses were very interesting according to those who participated in the neighborhood canvas.
Many of us attended a local church in the area and this was wonderful to hear. It’s such a blessing to be connected to a network of Believers that are running the race that has already been won.
Some of us did not attend church for a variety of reasons also. At Destiny, we believe along with our Pastor that we are forgiven and not perfect. We believe that the Lord that can wipe away the transgressions of our past and help our find our purpose and destiny for our lives. To gain a better understanding, we believe that the Bible, good foundational teachings, and a willing spirit will take us a far way in allowing us to find the destiny in our lives.
“Destiny Family Worship Center is a great place to consider if you felt led to allow God to do amazingly, exceedingly, & abundantly more than you could ever expect or want.” - Pastor Jonathan
For those who responded that they did not attend a local church, here are just a couple of the things that one looks for in a Church:
- comfort - a friendly place
- trust - no hidden agendas
- a sense of belonging (family atmosphere)
The feedback was absolutely wonderful and the discussion about the role of the Church is one of significance in this day and age. I would submit that if you are not attending a Church, get involved. If you already are involved, share it with everyone you know. Be Blessed.
