Look forward to entering into the Daniel Fast. The Zion Refuge Church Family will be fasting from the 11th through the 31st of January 2010.

We are believing the Lord divine breakthrough in health, finances, restoration of families, the return of the backslider to the Kingdom of God, the Body of Christ being united, men and women of God being restored back to their right place in God; also, men, women, and children stepping into their divine election and call of God in life.

Blessings unto the Destiny Family Worship Center Family!

Now that the fast is almost over, I am ready for it to be OVER. I have had all the salads and fesh fruit I can take without adding some (meat) protein.

I know we are not supposed to fast to lose weight, but all the diet material I read says a good way to kick start a healthy lifestyle is to fast first.

This has been so true for me. I have lost at least 10 pounds on the fast. And, although I will go back to eating fried foods and meat once the fast is over, I will keep a healthy lifestyle as well. In fact, I can't imagine going back to drinking soda and eating candy and junk.

I praise God or the changes the fast is bringing about, not just in my lifestyle, but in my heart and mind.

The first week was easier than I thought it would be. Now that the first week is over, I have to press through the feeling of boredom. It's like, can I please go back to eating chocolate? My mouth craves flavor.

But, I will press on to the mark that is set before me because I know in the end the reward will be greater than the sacrifice.

Hey All,
The first 3 days were the hardest for me because it was the first time I had severe headaches. I prayed through them and on day 4 all was well.
We can do this and do it with success. I believe we will be better spiritually, mentally and physically as a result of the sacrifice we make.
Love ya much

Day 6 of the Daniel Fast.

How are you guys and gals doing? I know this is a bit difficult for some. I really have learned to reach the ingredients to the food that I am purchasing.

I want to encourge you to push through the pain to see the goal of your sacrifice. Remember, the purpose of the fast is to seek the Lord and position yourself where your spirit is leading your life instead of your flesh.

Romans 8:14 "For those who are led by the Spirt of God, those are His". Ask God to lead and Guide you and let you - when this happens, you know you are His.
